With week six already coming to a close, our members enjoyed a thrilling trip through the old residence of the infamous Lizzie Borden. After about an hour and a half long, private tour of the property where they were encouraged to ask questions (among the favorites being asking our tour guide about 8 separate times if she lives there) the members were enthralled by the creepy estate and ghost stories that came with it. After all of that, we had worked up an appetite and it was time for lunch, so we packed up and took a 5 minute ride to Heritage State Park and ate lunch with the incredible view of Battleship Cove floating in front of us. Then, arriving back at the club around 2:30, the members had plenty of time to play and run around back at the club, burning off some excess energy before going home. Unfortunately the trip to Tower Hill Botanical Garden planned for the next day was not quite as successful. After a steady start in the morning the members were packed up and ready to go, However upon arrival they were told that the Botanical Garden was actually too full and they wouldn't be able to go so just had to turn around and go home. Luckily our members are good sports and returned to the club with smiles for a fun rest of the day.
