The Boys and Girls Club of Webster-Dudley playing as team Nichols under coaches Brianna Millett and Tyler Bailey, have a lot to celebrate as they brought home their first competitive victory in program history against the Boys and Girls Club Friars in Woonsocket yesterday evening. The last minute was a nail biter but with the help of players like Nathan Lowe chucking up three-pointers throughout the game with one ringing in with the buzzer, they weren't to worry.Ending in an incredibly close score of 54-53 the team showed up and showed out playing with only 4 players versus the Friars 5. We are more than proud of our emerging team and warn surrounding Boys and Girls Clubs that this is just the beginning. The team, however, would be nothing without the help and dedication of Coach Bri and Coach Tyler. Tyler, as a 2017 Sports Management graduate of Nichols College began the program with the help of Bri, a soon-to-be 2018 graduate of Worcester State University back in February, then continued to create this up and coming Summer League. They look forward to future successes as the Summer comes to a close and the team strives to progress to their full potential.
